In February 2015, seven Class 6 students from Hunar Ghar School in Bakhel Village in western Rajasthan travelled to Udaipur for four days of listening, questioning, reflecting and inspiring new visions of their future. Thanks to Educate for Life, they already have a solid footing with a superior primary education. But what will they do after graduation from Class 8? Where they live, there are no local high schools, employment opportunities beyond subsistence farming are limited, and few roles models exist.
Dreaming Big is a pilot project to see how older teens, working people and middle-class Udaipurans from all walks of life can help inspire the vision of young people, and shape new options for their unique life journeys.
We invite you to share what the students' discoveries, inquiries, imagination and insights.
Oh, and we'd love to hear from you. It's your turn (on the "Your Turn" page...duh).
